Oh boy are we snowed under at the moment – and speaking of snow!
We’re lucky enough to be photographing Alix & Stephen’s wedding this year, so we obviously decided that we should all get together and trudge around in Richmond-upon-Thames for the afternoon.
We met Ali at the railway station and chatted while we waited for Stephen to park the car.
After cutting across Richmond Green, where we found a snowman that required urgent medical attention we then made our way to the river as this seemed like a good idea.
Much posing and fun ensued which resulted in everyone deciding that we should all stop at The White Cross for something warm and coffee/chocolate-like.
The very nice people at the pub had kindly supplied blankets for their customers to use, so of course Ali and Stephen were convinced that wearing one of these would be brilliant.
Walking up and down steps is always good, so we tried that and then went under Richmond Bridge and along to Buccleuch Gardens before braving the treacherous but fun ascent of Terrage Gardens to the top of Richmond Hill.
I fell on my bum.
Even though darkness was starting to fall, we were determined to make it to Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park before heading back into town and after a bit of a snowball fight, a look through the telescope towards St. Pauls ( if was far too misty to see anything but it wasn’t for the lack of trying ), we finally made it for a couple of hero shots on the path to the front door.
We then all marched back along the road because it was much less slippery and chatted all the way back to Richmond.
Ali and Steve were awesome and we just know we’re going to have a lot of fun at their wedding in April.
We can’t wait!
